This week Epsilon’s Email Institute released its Spring 2012 Email Gallery Look Book featuring top email creative. Now in its sixth edition, the Spring Email Look Book is comprised of emails that caught our attention this season. These emails stood out because of features like channel integration, contact strategy, preview pane rendering, sender name, subject line and overall content and creative execution.
For the first time, we’ve also included a People’s Choice email that was nominated and selected by Email Institute’s loyal readers. We began with eight marketing emails and after three rounds of voting and nearly 1,400 votes, Helzberg Diamonds’ Social Butterflies- Get the Scoop on Helzberg email was the unanimous champion.
I personally love this email because of the clean design and very clear calls-to-action, which is reinforced within the subject line. Even more interesting is the play on words, like “social butterfly,” and the complimentary imagery.
If you’re looking to make your emails stand out this spring, I suggest taking a cue from Helzberg when it comes to a sleek design and distinct call-to-action (CTA). Every email sent without a straightforward CTA is a missed transaction or engagement opportunity. Also consider implementing triggered messages, as our recent Q4 2011 Email Trends and Benchmarks showed triggered emails have a 96% higher open rate and 125% higher click rate than non triggered emails.
Here’s what other Email Institute readers had to say about the Helzberg Social Butterfly email:
