A request for proposal, or RFP, is an important exercise to identify the best marketing partner for your brand. Though a standard procedure, we continue to see brands struggle to create marketing RFPs that solicit the responses necessary to navigate the agency landscape and uncover the strongest partner.
The 2012 National Automobile Dealers Association Convention and Expo (NADA) kicks off this Friday in Las Vegas. At Aspen, we work with a number of automotive companies and dealers, so every year I look forward to the NADA where we discuss how car manufacturers and dealers should be leveraging data and technology to reach their customers more effectively.

Let’s cut right to the chase. Do you think marketing budgets will increase in 2012?
We made it through a couple years of cautious spending by marketers as businesses around the world weathered the economic downturn and scaled back on spend across the board. Since, we have definitely seen budgets begin to increase again and we expect that increase to continue in 2012.
